Berna is a graduate of Bachelor in Elementary Education, major in Mathematics, and has completed the academic requirements for a Master of Arts in Education with a major in Administration and Supervision. She has been teaching for more than 20 years and is a licensed teacher in her home country and in South Dakota. She is a problem solver, data-driven, and an advocate for social-emotional learning.
Berna has been part of the Rock Creek Grant School faculty since 2021, teaching at the middle school level. She is a teacher with a growth mindset, committed to fostering both the academic and emotional abilities of her students. As a motivated educator, Berna is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of students and parents. Her adaptable teaching style reflects her experience working with learners from varied cultural, economic, and educational background.
